    • Service: Program Co-Chair, ICML 2018; General Chair, ICML 2023; Member, UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI (2023 – 2024).

    About ICML

ICML is one of the “big three” AI conferences (alongside NeurIPS and ICLR), dedicated to advancing the field of machine learning. The 2025 edition, just concluded at the Vancouver Convention Centre, received 12 107 valid submissions—a 28 % increase over 2024—and accepted 3 260 papers, yielding an acceptance rate of 26.9 %.

As one of the fastest-growing venues in AI, ICML brings together academics, industry researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and students from around the world.

Congratulations to the new board members to serve on the ICML Board!

If we missed any new board member here, please help us add.

Chinese (or with Chinese education background) researchers and scholars are definitely dominating the AI/ML research I think.
